Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your lovely comment recently. I want you all to know that I am reading each and every one of them and listening to everything you have to say.
Something that keeps popping up on twitter, facebook and here is that you would like to see more veggy recipes. YOu are absolutely right. All you veggies out there will be plaesed to hear that I am opening up a pop up cafe in East London with innocent smoothies for about a week at the end of October and low and behold, ALL of the food is going to be Veggie. There will be recipes galore too.
I have spent the past month developing seasonal, local produced veg recipes that are all mouthwatering and I hope, quite surprising. Today for example I am playing around with some root vegetable bhajis on a piece of grilled paneer with a sag dhal, yoghurt and rose harrisa. So expect really gutsy flavours!
I will post more about the cafe closer to the time and I hope this makes up for the lack of veggie recipes so far and I vow from now on to include more in anything I do.
Love
Gizzix

Lauren on July 9th, 2010 at 1:54 pmHi Gizzi, Im 21 and live in Clapham.
Got the book today and kicked off with tempura battered prawns…ace! Thinking of doing a prof cookery course as me and my boyf Zeno are considering starting our own coffee bar…I read you trained at Leiths and was wondering which course you would suggest? I can only afford the essentials course! Is that enough to start a career in food? Or are there any schools that are as well respected but cheaper to attend?
If you have time to comment I’d be so grateful. And Gizzi, I think your doing a wonderful job! You derserve your success completely!! Well Done! x x x x

Luisa on July 16th, 2010 at 8:23 pmLove your show! (and your tattoo btw) It’s such an inspiration to watch you try to teach people to cook differently, not lambast them as other shows do.
Ideas: (apologies if you have already have done this!)
Try your hand at cauliflower mash instead of the root veg mash, even lower carb, and if you add extra light cream cheese and nutmeg, it’s a winner.
Also cauli can make a ‘fried rice’ substitute that is gorgeous.
Lisa on July 21st, 2010 at 12:47 amHi Gizza
Did i imagine or have i recently seen one of your receipes for Spag.Carbonara with courgettes. I’ve got them coming out of ears at the moment so thought i’d do something different from stuffed.
Annie on July 21st, 2010 at 5:17 pmRe. courgettes, you didnt imagine it there is a recipe here from Fabulous magazine…

Lizzie Bennett on September 19th, 2010 at 7:13 pmI’ve been trying to find the Microplane cheese grater from Ep 4, your gift to Zoe!
There are loads of Microplanes but none look like the one in the prog or claim to aerate the resulting cheese. The nearest I found in looks were citrus ones.
I’ve been waiting for my new kitchen to finished and have all your programmes bookmarked on my computer ready to start experimenting with. Think your shows are FAB and should be on an evening slot!!!
Thanks Lizzie
Yay!
I began watching Cook Yourself Thin as an omni, and have since gone vegan. Weirdly, I find myself cooking and adapting more of your recipes now than I ever did before. I’m looking forward to seeing what kinds of recipes we get when you’re aiming for us.:D
